Bi Yanchun Attended the 17th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum and Conducted Business Activities in Hong Kong and Macao SARs.

From June 9 to 12, Bi Yanchun, Chairman of China Railway International Group Co., Ltd. (CRIG), travelled to Macao SAR to attend the 17th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum (IIICF). Invited as a speaker, he delivered a keynote speech at the 12th China-LAC Infrastructure Forum, and held talks with Mr. Tony YAU, Director of the Highways Department, Hong Kong SAR; Ian Chung, Regional Chief Executive of AECOM Asia; as well as Lu Jian, Chairman of ICBC (Macao) and Niu Jianjun, President of ICBC (Macao).

CRIG was entrusted to organize and operate the booth of China Railway Group Limited. Throughout the IIICF, Mr.Sam Hou Fai, Chief Executive of the Macao SAR, ministerial-level delegates from multiple countries, and senior executives of central SOEs visited the booth. Bi Yanchun held in-depth talks with all visiting guests, presenting CRIG’s landmark projects and development achievements across Macao and global infrastructure markets.

On the afternoon of June 11, the 12th China-LAC Infrastructure Forum was successfully held. The forum, themed ""Green and Digital Drivers for a Shared Future: Fostering New Progress in China-LAC Infrastructure Cooperation", included opening remarks, Keynote Forum, thematic panels and Keynote Speeches. Bi Yanchun was invited to deliver a keynote speech on "Empowering China-LAC Infrastructure Cooperation with New Quality Productive Forces, Jointly Expanding New Space for Third Market." Bi pointed out that as a leading global construction enterprise, China Railway Group Limited (CREC) leverages its full industrial chain advantages to launch a number of landmark projects and livelihood projects across Latin America. In the future, CREC and CRIG will promote standard alignment to remove cooperation barriers; build a diversified financial system to address infrastructure financing bottlenecks; advance the digital and intelligent upgrading of infrastructure with smart equipment and digital platforms; pursue green and low-carbon development and scale up green infrastructure development, and cooperate with all parties to contribute our strength to building a China-Latin America community with a shared future.

The CREC booth featured themed zones covering local market operation, engineering construction, high-end equipment manufacturing, social responsibility, and achievements in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area development. It won high recognition from all visitors and received coverage by CCTV and other national mainstream media.

During his visit to Hong Kong and Macao, Bi Yanchun conducted a series of business activities, holding talks with officials from the Hong Kong Highways Department, AECOM, ICBC Macau, and other relevant institutions and companies.

On June 9, Bi Yanchun paid a courtesy call on Mr. Tony YAU, Director of the Highways Department, Hong Kong SAR, for an exchange meeting. Bi stated that CREC is ready to leverage its full industrial chain advantages and whole life cycle service capacity to deepen communication and coordination with the Highways Department.CREC will forge robust win-win partnerships with internal and external partners to contribute CREC’s expertise and strength to transport infrastructure development and socio-economic growth in Hong Kong SAR. Mr. Tony YAU commended CREC and CRIG for their outstanding track record and valuable contributions to Hong Kong SAR’s infrastructure industry. He briefed Bi on the planning and progress of the SAR Government’s key transport infrastructure projects, and welcomed CRIG’s participation in relevant schemes to support the efficient, high-quality development of Hong Kong SAR’s transport infrastructure.

On the same day, Bi Yanchun held talks with Ian Chung, Regional Chief Executive of AECOM Asia. The two sides agreed to boost information sharing and mutual learning and experience exchange. They will conduct comprehensive, in-depth cooperation in traditional infrastructure sectors including railways and highways, and proactively explore collaboration in emerging business segments such as new energy and water & environmental engineering, so as to realize complementary strengths, mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.

On June 11, Bi Yanchun held talks with Lu Jian, Chairman of ICBC (Macao), and Niu Jianjun, President of ICBC (Macao). The two sides exchanged views and reached an important consensus on cooperation in infrastructure development within the Macao SAR and global business deployment.Bi noted that the two parties enjoy extensive room for in-depth cooperation in fund management, comprehensive credit facilities, investment and financing, and hoped to further deepen bilateral collaboration. Lu looked back on their long-standing friendly cooperation, stating that ICBC (Macao) and CRIG have built an exemplary bank-enterprise partnership. He added that ICBC (Macao) stands ready to deliver diversified, one-stop financial services worldwide to bolster CREC’s high-quality development under the "Going Global" strategy.
