Zhao Jinxiang Conducted Business Activities in the UAE and Algeria

From May 13 to 20, Zhao Jinxiang and his delegation conducted a series of business activities in the UAE and Algeria.The delegation paid courtesy calls to Zeng Jixin, Chinese Ambassador to the UAE, and Dong Guangli, Chinese Ambassador to Algeria, and held talks with the Chairman of Abu Dhabi Municipal Transport Department, senior management of CSCEC Algeria Branch, and principals of local cooperative partners.

On May 15, Zhao Jinxiang and his delegation paid a courtesy call on Zeng Jixin, Chinese Ambassador to the UAE, and undertook a series of business exchanges. During the meeting with Ambassador Zeng, Zhao Jinxiang expressed gratitude to the embassy for its long-standing guidance and support for CRIG’s development in the country. He briefed the ambassador on CRIG’s local operations and project progress, and voiced the wish to pursue broader, higher-tier cooperation so as to contribute more to deepening practical China-UAE collaboration. Ambassador Zeng commended CRIG for its long-term in-depth engagement in the local market and contributions to regional development. He encouraged CRIG to capture more engineering contracting and investment opportunities, strive to build benchmark infrastructure cooperation projects between China and the UAE, and deliver greater achievements under the broader China-UAE cooperation landscape.

On May 17, Zhao Jinxiang and his delegation paid a courtesy call on Dong Guangli, Chinese Ambassador to Algeria, and undertook a series of business exchanges. During the meeting with Ambassador Dong, Zhao Jinxiang expressed gratitude to the embassy for the continuous guidance and support provided to CRIG’s development in Algeria. He briefed the ambassador on CREC and CRIG’s development history, global layout and local business operations in Algeria.Ambassador Dong commended CRIG for its long-term in-depth engagement in Algeria and outstanding contributions to the advancement of the New Algeria Initiative. He expressed the hope that CRIG would give full play to its comprehensive strengths, seize all China-Algeria cooperation opportunities, showcase its brand competitiveness, further integrate into local socio-economic growth, and make greater efforts to deepen the China-Algeria comprehensive strategic partnership.

During the courtesy call with Mohammed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Municipal Transport Department, the two sides held in-depth talks on the delivery of the ongoing Section 1B of Mid Island Parkway Phase 1 Project.In the meeting with Sun Yuanjiang, Chief Representative of the Abu Dhabi Business Center of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), the two sides had thorough exchanges and reached an important consensus. They agreed to give full play to their respective strengths in infrastructure and finance to carry out pragmatic cooperation, so as to drive the high-quality and sustainable growth of CRIG’s business in the UAE.The delegation also met senior management of YAS PROJECTS. The two parties discussed the high-standard delivery of the Section 1B of Mid Island Parkway Phase 1 Project and further deepening bilateral cooperation, and secured key consensus.A courtesy meeting was held with Tang Hao, Chairman, and Luo Jianpeng, General Manager of CSCEC Algeria Branch — the presiding member of the Chinese Enterprises Association in Algeria. The two sides shared in-depth views on advancing the association’s development, expanding bilateral cooperation, advancing key project development and pursuing win-win growth, and reached an important consensus.
