On February 1, with the steel girder weighing 1280 tons placed on the sliding support, the first large section of steel girder of the main channel bridge of Changtai Yangtze River Bridge, the world's largest span highway and railway cable-stayed bridge (main span 1176 meters) under construction by China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group, was hoisted. After the steel beam is hoisted on the sliding support, the dragging and sliding system will move 300 meters to the design position. The steel girder truss of the bridge's main channel bridge is 15.5 meters high, with 91 large segments, 14-28 meters long, and 900-1856 tons in weight.
