On October 26, the "CREC 1200" ( "Liangdu") hard rock roadheader (TBM) jointly built by China Railway Hi-Tech Industry and Guizhou Heilaga Science and Technology Equipment Company, a subsidiary of China Railway, was offline and will soon be used in the construction of auxiliary adit and Yunshun bottom pumping roadway in Juxin Coal Mine, Guizhou Province, adding a new sharp equipment to the construction of coal mine roadway.

Given the engineering difficulties of gas control roadway in southwest China, such as short excavation distance, many transitions, and complex geological conditions, the R & D team, based on summing up the application experience of TBM in coal mines, tailored the "CREC 1200" TBM with an excavation diameter of 4.53 meters and a total length of only 35 meters. It has the advantages of short length, flexibility, and convenient transfer. The equipment innovatively enhances the pertinence and adaptability of TBM application in gas control roadways and escorts the safe and efficient construction of a roadway.
