On December 26, Guangzhou Baiyun Railway Station, which China Railway Construction Engineering Group constructed, was officially completed and put into operation.
Baiyun Railway Station is located south of Baiyun District, Guangzhou, with a total building area of about 453,000 square meters and a station building area of 144,500 square meters. It is a comprehensive transportation hub station integrating railway, subway, urban public transport, and other modes of transportation. It is also one of the largest comprehensive railway hubs in Asia.
After the opening of Guangzhou Baiyun Railway Station, it will undertake the departure and arrival operations of trains on Beijing-Guangzhou High-speed Railway, Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, Guangzhou-Meizhou-Shantou Railway, Guangzhou-Maoming Railway and other lines. The high-speed railway, general railway and inter-city railway in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area will be effectively integrated and linked up to promote the formation of a multi-level railway network of "axis support, polar axis radiation".
