Source: Date:2025年04月11日

Recently, The First Engineering Bureau of CREC completed the double-track long rail connection between Marébayah Port and Moussaya Station under the MXTJ-01 section of the Trans-Guinea Railway. This marks the first section of the railway to achieve long rail connectivity.

The First Engineering Bureau of CREC is responsible for prefabricating and erecting 1,710 T-beam piers, laying 289.14 kilometers of mainline track and 61.06 kilometers of station line track in the MX-TJ-01 section of the Trans-Guinea Railway. The segment from Marébayah Port to Moussaya Station spans a total length of 55 kilometers.

The Trans-Guinea Railway stretches from west to east across Guinea, passing through 12 provinces in four regions: Kindia, Mamou, Faranah, and Kankan. It is a key infrastructure project supporting large-scale mining at the world-class Simandou iron ore deposit and an essential part of the rail-port integrated logistics chain. It is also the longest modern railway built in Guinea since the 1970s.

As a new strategic transport corridor for the global iron ore industry, the railway will enhance Guinea’s competitiveness in the international iron ore market and provide strong support for the country’s integrated transportation system, industrialization, and agricultural development.
