On June 28 local time, the N3 Road Rehabilitation Project in Conakry, Guinea, undertaken by China Railway No.5 Engineering Group, was completed.
The N3 Road spans 20 kilometers in total, including 8.7 kilometers of reconstruction and 11.3 kilometers of resurfacing. It connects the core area of Conakry, the capital of Guinea, with the Boffa and Boké port economic zones, making it one of the busiest arterial roads in the region.
During construction, the project team faced challenges such as heavy traffic pressure and material shortages. To overcome these, they pre-stocked materials, strictly controlled consumption, and negotiated closely with suppliers, laying a solid foundation for high-quality performance. A senior official from the Ministry of Public Works of Guinea remarked: “The N3 Road is a model of China-Guinea cooperation! The Chinese team not only repaired the road but also brought sustainable technology and management expertise.”
