On April 13, the joint tree-planting activity of "China-Kyrgyzstan Friendship Forest", co-initiated by China Railway No.3 Engineering Group, Jalal-Abad State University and the Forestry Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic, was held at Jalal-Abad State University.
Representatives from China and Kyrgyzstan shoveled soil and planted saplings. Saplings symbolizing friendship and hope took root on the campus, implying that the friendship between China and Kyrgyzstan will be as deep-rooted, flourishing and everlasting as the trees.
Usenov Kensibek Zhumabekovich, President of Jalal-Abad State University, stated in his speech that the completion of the "China-Kyrgyzstan Friendship Forest" not only beautifies the campus ecological environment, but also embodies the beautiful vision of young people from the two countries advancing and growing together, and will become an important witness to cultural and people-to-people exchanges between China and Kyrgyzstan.
"The China-Kyrgyzstan Friendship Forest is not only an ecological project, but also an important symbol of the continuous deepening of cooperation between the two countries. It is hoped that taking this activity as an opportunity, both sides will further expand practical cooperation in urban construction, ecological protection and other fields, allowing the tree of China-Kyrgyzstan friendship to take deep root in the hearts of the two peoples," said Abdupata Matkalikov, Mayor of Manas City.
