CRSG Adheres to the concept of green building, helps empower the Motorcycle Kingdom enter a new era of green travel
2022-09-28
The first urban light rail in Vietnam, implemented by CRSG with EPC contract, was completed and opened to the traffic, marking Vietnam's official entry into a new era of green travel from the "Motorcycle Kingdom".
The project was implemented strictly according to HSE international standards and local regulations, and no safety and environmental accidents occurred during the construction period. The project department always adhered to the concept of green building, selecting the solar panels with the characteristics of light weight, environmental protection and low thermal radiation. The design of the stations effectively minimized the floor space and maximized the use of urban space. Stations along the rail were located according to one station and one scene concept, fully integrating the characteristics of regional culture and human landscape. The interior decoration of the stations integrated with the local cultural elements and national characteristics such as red kapok, yellow hats, green helmets, and colorful Ao Dai. In order to adapt to the subtropical climate of Hanoi, ventilation windows were set on the ceilings and sides of the arched roof of the stations, which realized the natural ventilation and lighting requirements and reduced the energy consumption. During the construction, fences and mobile box-type mud pools were set up to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the site, and by making full use of rainwater for maintenance, remarkable results in green building and water conservation had been achieved. All sections of the line were equipped with sound barriers, and shock absorption measures were adopted in the design of the track system, which effectively reduced traffic noise pollution and met the environmental impact assessment standards.
The building of the light rail project in Hanoi, Vietnam, based on the aim of improving the well-being of the people, accelerated China's Belt and Road Initiative and Vietnam's Two Corridors and One Circle Strategy, and deepened the cooperation on connectivity, green development, industrialization, digital economy and other fields to help Vietnam achieve faster development. The Ministry of Transport of Vietnam awarded CRSG three Contribution Award for local transportation development.
Since its operation, Hanoi citizens have been taking the light rail enthusiastically, took photos there and praised for its safety, comfort and convenience. The light rail has also become a beautiful scenery in Hanoi and a popular photo spot.
