For the Lanzhou Water Source Project, China supplies water from the Liujiaxia Reservoire to Lanzhou City. The TBM tunnel is approximately 24,400m long with a maximum overburden of 918m and high‑strength rocks. The TBM was launched on the 4th of February 2016 in Gansu Province and completed tunnelling on the 2nd of February 2018.
