UNDERGROUND SOLUTION PROVIDER

Functions

The rectangular pipe jacking machine uses the thrust from the main jacking cylinders in the launch shaft to push the main unit through the soil from the launch shaft all the way to the reception shaft, where it is hoisted out. The pipe sections follow closely behind the machine; once one section has been jacked into place, the next section is lowered and the jacking process continues until the job is completed.

Rectangular pipe jacking machines typically use a soil pressure balance mode for tunneling advancement. The cuttings produced by the cutterhead are fed into a soil hopper, where they are mixed with soil conditioners to form a uniform, flowable slurry. This slurry is then discharged via a screw conveyor system. The jacking system located in the launch shaft overcomes the friction between the main machine and the pipe sections to provide the thrust required for pipe jacking.
