Based on the rock-breaking principle of mechanical disc cutters, the large-diameter reverse shaft machine adopts hydraulic drive to rotate drill pipes and the drill bit for cutting. It first drills a pilot hole from top to bottom, then carries out upward reaming by pulling the cutter head from bottom to top. Combined with muck removal via slurry circulation during pilot hole drilling and the free fall of rock cuttings by self-weight in the reaming process, the machine enables integrated construction of mechanical rock breaking and safe shaft formation.
